About Me
My Story
When i was in high school I had a dream to be a famous fashion designer, with all
the best looks on the fall and spring runways.
6 weeks into the college program I found out that wasn't the path I wanted to take. My mom was supportive,
but told me to stay in school while I figured it out. So I took a General Studies course, which gave me no direction, but gave me some time to reflect. After many aptitude tests on the Internet, I finally decided to just try something, and so 6 months
later I was on my way to North Bay to begin a course in Advertising.
It only took me 2 days to figure out that that was a bad idea. I was a shy girl in a creative course. I didn' t think I would survive it. But I stuck with it. My second year improved significantly. I came out of my shell, got better at my work and fell into a groove. Graduation didn't come fast enough, I wanted to start a career.
That took me all over Ontario, learning that the world was not what I was told. It was harder than I ever imagined. After finally deciding to move out West a job came across my desk, and brought me to Yellowknife NWT. And that is where I was for 1.5 years. Learning about running a small store, designing product, ordering stock, and learning how to promote people, products, and a reality show in the wild adventure of The North.
After some time I decided to move on and found mysle in Insurance with the Cooperators. I studied for my general licence and trained in Commercial. Thats where I am now and I hope to advance into the other basic lines of auto and home an eventually lIfe.

Getting Personal
I've grown a lot since moving to the North. I've learned a lot about myself and now I am trying to make it back home.
I let myself get a little sidetracked here and there, but thats definatley added to the adventure.
Since moving to Yellowknife, I've been learning all that I am capable of. I have learned that I am a pretty decent cook, and I can bake suddenly. I used to be a disaster in the kitchen. All the mess and clean-up but non of the treats that are supposed to make it worth it.'
Ive learned to knit, chochet and cross stitch and have made a few items that Im pretty proud of.
I've also been hitting the gun range, turns out I'm a pretty good shot.
My interests are extremely varied, which has led me to find my creative side.
